Getting There

From the UK two airlines fly to Sabah.

Malaysian Airlines fly directly to Kuala Lumpar with an internal flight to Kota Kinabalu, They fly twice daily from Heathrow and Manchester.

Royal Brunei fly to Kota Kinabalu via Brunei daily, with a refuelling stop in either Dubai or Abu Dhabi.

British Nationals do not require a visa to travel to Malaysia. Please ensure that your passport does not expire within 6 months of travelling.

Medical

Your doctor will advise you on the recommended vaccinations. It is, however, very important that malaria precautions are taken. Clinics and dispensaries take care of non-major medical treatment while state-run hospitals are available in all major towns. The Sabah Medical Centre is a private hospital with good health services

Currency

One Malaysian Ringgit (RM 1) is made up of 100 sen. Currency notes are issued in denominations of RM 100, RM 50, RM 20, RM 10, RM 5 and RM 2. Coins are in denominations of 100, 50, 20, 10, 5 and 1 sen. One UK pound is approximately RM 6.5

Electrical Appliances

Electric current is on a 240 volts AC 50 Hz. cycle system using a square 3-pin plug.

On Arrival

We arrange for you to be met and taken to the villa. Payment will be approximately £20.00 payable locally.

Car Hire

We recommend car hire, and we use Extra rent-a-car. We can arrange this for you if required and you will be met at the airport. Payment for the car hire is payable by credit card direct to the company. If you do hire a car an international licence is required
